Police Recover Three Stolen Vehicles After Checking Near Mercy Hospital

JAMSHEDPUR – Police busted a bike theft gang in Jamshedpur, arresting three repeat offenders and recovering three stolen vehicles during an anti-crime operation.
Sidhgora police set up a checking point near Mercy Hospital roundabout. The operation was part of a special drive. Senior Superintendent of Police had directed the initiative.
Officers stopped two youths on a motorcycle. The vehicle bore registration number JH 05DT-1287. Police asked them for documents.
However, the suspects could not produce any papers. They started evading questions. Officers took them to the police station.
The suspects were identified as Rahul Mukhi and Ajay Mukhi. Both hail from Birsanagar police station area. Verification revealed the motorcycle was stolen.
Moreover, the bike had been taken from Sidhgora area. The duo confessed during interrogation. They named their accomplice Vikas Sharma alias Babua Bachcha.
Police acted swiftly on the information. Officers arrested Vikas from Sitaramdera police station area. The gang had three members in custody.
Investigation led to recovery of more stolen property. Police seized two additional motorcycles. Officers also recovered one scooter.
In addition, all three accused have criminal records. They were involved in multiple cases. These include theft, robbery and assault.
The gang operated across several areas. These include Sidhgora, Birsanagar, Telco and Sitaramdera. Police have registered cases in these jurisdictions.
Furthermore, officers are searching for other gang members. Investigation continues to map their network. Police are identifying all affected areas.
