JAMSHEDPUR – The Railway’s land department conducts an anti-encroachment drive near Jugsalai crossing, demolishing illegal structures.
The Railway’s land department carried out an anti-encroachment drive near the Jugsalai railway crossing.
A heavy presence of RPF personnel and local police ensured security during the operation.
Before the demolition, notices were issued to residents occupying railway land on both sides of the crossing.
Following the notice period, bulldozers were deployed to clear the encroachments.
During the operation, 25 illegal hut-like structures on railway land were demolished.
RPF male and female personnel, along with local police, were present to handle any adverse situations.
Sanjay Gupta, SSC of the land department, highlighted the safety risks posed by the encroachments near the railway tracks.
He emphasized the need to clear the land to prevent future encroachments and ensure safety.
Gupta mentioned plans to construct a boundary to secure the area and prevent further encroachment.
He also stated that work on a foot overbridge (FOB) would commence soon.
Residents were urged to cooperate with the authorities to maintain safety and order near the railway tracks.
The railway department is determined to reclaim its land and prevent illegal constructions in the future.
