Women Join 5-Km Walk for Empowerment Ahead of Navratri

Event Held from Birla Mandir to Agrico Ground and Back

JAMSHEDPUR – A special walk for women’s empowerment was held on Mahalaya morning, one day before Navratri.

The 5-km walk was organized by Kreedha Bharati. It started at 6 a.m. from Birla Mandir in Golmuri. The route went through Agrico Transport Ground and ended back at Birla Mandir.

However, the event was not only for women. Men, children, and elderly citizens also joined the activity. Participation came from nearby localities as well.

Meanwhile, Kreedha Bharati Metropolitan President Shiv Shankar Singh explained the benefits of walking. He stated that walking strengthens bones and muscles. It reduces the risks of heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. It also helps in weight control, improves mental health, and builds stamina.

Besides, Singh stressed that walking is a low-impact exercise. According to him, it supports joints and boosts energy levels. “Such activities make people aware about fitness, especially women,” a participant mentioned during the program.

In addition, Singh thanked all attendees and urged them to stay health-conscious. Provincial Minister Rajeev Kumar of Kreedha Bharati was also present with other members.
