JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel and its group companies observed National Sports Day and Sir Dorabji Tata’s birth anniversary with sporting events across multiple locations.
The company organized a Karate Championship and a Community Children Athletics Meet on August 27-28. These activities gave children an opportunity to compete and promoted grassroots sports.
On August 29, Tata Steel Technical Services Limited and Tata Steel Support Services Limited extended the celebrations. They arranged Walkathons for employees at Jamshedpur, West Bokaro, and Kalinganagar.
Both men and women employees participated in large numbers. The events were aimed at fostering wellness, teamwork, and fitness among staff.
At Jamshedpur, the Walkathon began under the flag of TSSSL CEO Deepak Kamath. He urged employees to adopt sports and physical activity in daily routines.
