JAMSHEDPUR – A tiger has been confirmed in the Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary, prompting the forest department to issue safety advisories to nearby residents. The presence of the big cat was verified through camera traps installed in the sanctuary.

District Forest Officer Saba Alam Ansari stated that the tiger’s movements are being closely monitored. He urged villagers to remain vigilant and avoid venturing into forested areas, especially during nighttime.

Increased Monitoring and Safety Measures

The forest department has intensified surveillance within the sanctuary, deploying additional camera traps and conducting regular patrols to track the tiger’s movements. Residents of approximately 81 forest villages have been advised to take precautionary measures to prevent any human-wildlife conflicts.

Recent Tiger Activities in the Region

This sighting follows recent reports of tiger activities in nearby areas. Earlier this month, a male tiger was spotted in the Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary, marking the second big cat appearance in the region. Additionally, tiger paw prints were found in two villages near Jamshedpur, further indicating the presence of tigers in the vicinity.
