Banna Gupta’s Pvt Secy Levels FIR Tampering Allegations Against Saryu Roy

Omprakash Singh, the private secretary to the Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta, has accused MLA Saryu Roy and Doranda police station in-charge of tampering with an FIR lodged by the health department.

RANCHI – In a press conference held on Friday, Omprakash Singh, the Private Secretary to Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta, leveled serious allegations against MLA Saryu Roy and the in-charge of Doranda police station.

He alleged that an FIR registered by the health department at Doranda police station accusing MLA Saryu Roy of stealing personal documents had been tampered with and Roy’s name had been erased from the accused column, replacing it with someone else’s.

Singh further claimed that the tampering was carried out using Whitener and was a result of a conspiracy between the MLA and the police station in-charge.

MLA Accused of Stealing Confidential Health Department Document

Mr Om Prakash Singh said that The original FIR had implicated MLA Saryu Roy in a case of theft involving a part of a confidential health department file pertaining to the payment of a Corona incentive amount.

According to Singh, the names were changed with the connivance of the MLA and the police station in-charge, and the civil court has concurred with this observation.

Call for a Thorough Investigation

Singh has called upon the Director General of Police (DGP) and senior police officials to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

He questioned who the powerful invisible force that aims to protect MLA Saryu Roy was, even to the extent of misleading the court by applying Whitener to the FIR and tampering with the documents.

The Civil Court’s Order

According to Mr. Omprakash Singh, the court’s order issued on June 27 stated that, based on a review of all facts and circumstances, the relevant accused appears to have been named in the written applications attached to the formal FIR.

According to him, it further said that multiple witnesses had identified the relevant accused, MLA Saryu Roy, as the accused under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Political Slugfest Continues

This development has brought a new twist to the political slugfest continuing between Saryu Roy and Banna Gupta for quite some time.

Saryu Roy is yet to come out with a response on the statements made by Mr. Omprakash Singh on Friday.

There is a likelihood that the political tug of war between the two politicians from Jamshedpur would get more clamorous in the days to come.
