JAMSHEDPUR – Aiming to improve passenger services, Chakradharpur Division is rapidly progressing with the third line construction. DRM Tarun Bhuria conducted an extensive inspection of the project on Tuesday, focusing on the section from Adityapur to Salgajhari.

The inspection began at Adityapur station, where DRM Bhuria instructed RVNL to expedite station-related construction work. At Salgajhari, he reviewed the status of signals, traction, and other critical operational systems. According to the DRM, “Efficient signaling and operational tools are vital for the project’s success.”

Focus on Safety and Future Planning

During the inspection at Salgajhari, attention was drawn to the railway crossing, which witnesses heavy traffic flow. The DRM emphasized the urgency of replacing the existing crossing with an overbridge to manage the increasing vehicle volume efficiently. Local residents have raised concerns over the delays, and the DRM assured them that the proposal is under active consideration.

Technical and Operational Insights

The DRM engaged with the engineering and operations departments, urging them to maintain quality and speed in the construction work. Officials also highlighted the steps being taken to integrate the third line with existing routes for seamless connectivity.

Efforts are being made to complete the project on schedule, with a focus on minimizing disruptions for passengers during the construction phase.
