JAMSHEDPUR – A comprehensive review meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha) was convened under the chairmanship of Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato. The review focused on progress and compliance with directives from the previous Disha meeting.

Review of Water and Electricity Issues

The MP emphasized timely execution of plans and ensuring accountability for quality work. For water supply, departments were directed to survey and ensure uninterrupted services via pipelines, solar water towers, and hand pumps. Technical issues causing service disruptions were to be addressed immediately, with regular review of grievance registers by executives.

The administration also discussed enrolling 25% of BPL children in private schools under the Right to Education Act, ensuring compliance in rural areas.
