Jharkhand BJP Criticizes Law and Order Deterioration Under JMM-Congress Rule

State BJP Leader Highlights Rising Extremism and Administrative Failures

Dr. Ravindra Rai accused the JMM-Congress government of turning Jharkhand into a hub for criminals during a press conference in Jamshedpur.

Key Points:

  • BJP expressed concerns over rising extremism and lawlessness in Jharkhand.
  • Alleged government’s failure in ensuring public safety and controlling officials’ misconduct.
  • Threatened mass protests if the situation does not improve soon.

JAMSHEDPUR – Dr. Ravindra Rai, Acting State President of the Jharkhand BJP, strongly criticized the JMM-Congress government for its alleged failure in maintaining law and order. Speaking at a press conference in Jamshedpur, Dr. Rai voiced concerns over rising extremist activities, increased crime, and administrative lapses across the state.

He highlighted that extremist incidents, which were previously under control, have resurfaced in villages and forests, with recent police operations uncovering illegal arms, including AK-47 rifles. “Jharkhand has become a breeding ground for criminals under this government,” Dr. Rai remarked, emphasizing the growing fear among traders, women, and the general public.

Administrative Lapses Under Scrutiny

Dr. Rai accused certain officials of succumbing to political influence, engaging in indiscipline, and neglecting their duties. He pointed to recent incidents in Jamshedpur, where BJP workers and common citizens faced harassment, including vehicle-related misconduct by an SDO. He stated, “While we respect honest officials working for public welfare, biased actions to favor ruling parties are unacceptable.”

Government Warned of Protests

Dr. Rai warned that the BJP would take to the streets if the administration and government fail to address these issues promptly. “We want to give the government time to correct its course, but we won’t tolerate unequal enforcement of law or favoritism towards the ruling coalition,” he asserted. The party also reaffirmed its capability to challenge the state government’s policies and expose administrative shortcomings.

The press conference was attended by BJP state minister Nandji Prasad, Jamshedpur Metropolitan President Sudhanshu Ojha, District General Secretary Anil Modi, and District Media In-charge Prem Jha, among others.
