JAMSHEDPUR – In a development highlighting workers’ rights, two contract workers of a contractor company at Tata Power, Karan Karuwa and Roibu Karuwa, were terminated by the new contractor without settling their dues. The Jamshedpur Mazdoor Union has taken up their cause, filing a petition with the Deputy Labour Commissioner to demand justice.

Workers Denied Dues

Union General Secretary Ambuj Thakur stated that both workers had been employed for over a decade. Despite their long tenure, the new contractor neither cleared their outstanding wages nor provided gratuity payments, violating labor rights.

Union’s Pledge for Justice

The union has pledged to ensure fair treatment for the workers. Ambuj Thakur remarked, “We will not rest until the rights of these workers are upheld. The union will continue to fight for their reinstatement and rightful dues.”
