JAMSHEDPUR – An elderly couple residing near Motilal Public School in Bistupur experienced a harrowing robbery late Sunday night. The criminals, posing as delivery agents, entered the house and robbed jewelry and other valuables.
The robbers approached the house claiming to deliver a parcel. As soon as the door was opened, four to five men barged inside, overpowered the couple, and restrained them. The intruders tied their hands, taped their mouths, and two of the robbers pinned the man to the ground while others looted the house.
Robbers Escape with Valuables
The thieves took jewelry and cash before fleeing the scene. The elderly man later described the ordeal, stating, “They immobilized us completely, leaving no chance to resist.” He added that his wife’s ornaments were snatched while other valuables were ransacked.
Police Investigate the Incident
Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. The authorities are working on clues to identify the culprits. The incident, happening in the heart of the city, has raised concerns among residents regarding safety measures.
