JAMSHEDPUR – A truck cleaner has suffered critical injuries after coming in contact with high-tension wires near Bhilai Pahari in MGM Police Station area.
The incident occurred during a routine cargo inspection near Bhilai Pahari. The truck was transporting Tata Steel pipes to Kolar Dam in Karnataka.
Safety Concerns
The Electricity Department has reported five similar incidents in the area this year. “High-tension wire accidents have become a serious concern in industrial transport corridors,” stated a safety official.
Meanwhile, the Transport Workers’ Union has demanded better safety measures. On the other hand, local authorities have initiated a survey of high-risk zones.
Medical Response
The victim, identified as Abdul Nabi, remains under intensive care. Moreover, MGM Hospital has assembled a specialized burns treatment team.
In addition, hospital sources have indicated that the next 48 hours are crucial. The medical team is monitoring his condition closely.
