BAHRAGORA – Twenty underprivileged couples will tie the knot at the ninth annual community wedding ceremony organized by former BJP state president Dr. Dineshanand Goswami.
The initiative has facilitated over 200 marriages since its inception. More than half the beneficiaries belong to scheduled castes and tribes.
Social Impact
Dr. Goswami highlighted economic challenges faced by parents. “Many struggle to arrange their daughters’ weddings due to financial constraints,” a committee member stated.
Meanwhile, the ceremony will include legal registration of marriages. The event promotes social harmony across community boundaries.

The grooms will take special pledges against domestic violence. Moreover, they commit to environmental protection and avoiding substance abuse.
Furthermore, the ceremony will be completely plastic-free. The organizers plan traditional arrangements in separate mandaps.
