JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Workers Union has eliminated fuel expenses by adopting electric vehicles for its operations.

TWU President Sanjeev Choudhary Tunnu leads the initiative. The union received EVs through Tata Steel support.

“This transition brings significant savings,” Finance Secretary Amod Dubey stated.

Cost Efficiency

The finance committee reviewed recent accounts. October and November showed zero fuel expenses.

Meanwhile, previous fuel costs ran into thousands monthly. EVs have completely eliminated this expenditure.

Leadership Adoption

Union leaders embrace the change. General Secretary Satish Singh uses the new vehicle.

Moreover, Deputy President Shailesh Singh joins the initiative. All top officials now use EVs.

Financial Overview

The committee presented audit reports. Technical issues in accounts were resolved.

Meanwhile, members praised the cost-saving measure. The transition shows positive financial impact.

“This initiative demonstrates environmental responsibility,” a union official noted.
