JAMSHEDPUR – A German Shepherd Dog named Sombor Semper Victor emerged victorious at the prestigious international dog championship at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
The four-day extravaganza features dual championships. Meanwhile, the event brings together FCI’s 34th and 35th shows.
Moreover, it combines with JKC’s 77th and 78th championship shows. The competitions are taking place at the complex’s Archery Ground.
Championship Highlights
Portuguese judge Francisco Salvador Janeiro presided over the evaluations. Furthermore, eight outstanding canines secured top positions in the championship.
CH Red Stone’s Remo, a Beagle, secured second position. Meanwhile, a Doberman named AM.CH.Cambria’s Boy Wonder claimed the third spot.
CH.Nexon, a Lhasa Apso, achieved fourth place. “The quality of participants this year has been exceptional,” remarked a senior organizing committee member.
Local Achievements
The event celebrated homebred champions with special recognition. Additionally, it highlighted promising young talent in puppy categories.
A local expert noted, “This championship strengthens the bond between handlers and their pets.”
The competition began on January 9. However, the finale with prize distribution is scheduled for January 12.
