SERAIKELA – A crucial meeting to address worker migration was held Saturday evening at the Gamharia BDO office, led by Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla.

Focus on Preventing Migration

The discussion, attended by trainee IAS Kumar Rajat, Gamharia BDO Abhay Dwivedi, and SDPO Durgesh Nandini, revolved around strategies to retain skilled workers and artisans within the district. Industries in Seraikela face labor shortages despite abundant opportunities, as many locals migrate to other states for better livelihoods.

IAS Kumar Rajat emphasized the state government’s intent to provide maximum employment to locals in industries and sought suggestions to tackle this issue.

ISRO’s Role in the Dialogue

Representatives from the Industrial Stability and Reforms Organization (ISRO), including President Rupesh Kataria and Vice Presidents Ashok Singh and Manoj Kumar, shared insights and proposed actionable solutions. The meeting concluded with agreements on collaborative measures between ISRO and the district administration.
