SERAIKELA – The presence of a tiger in Chandil’s dense Tulgram forest has sparked fear among locals. The tiger attacked a bull on Tuesday, leaving villagers alarmed.
Sudden Encounter with the Tiger
Villagers grazing cattle in the forest encountered the tiger. Witnesses reported cattle scattering in panic, during which the predator killed a bull. Additionally, a calf is missing, presumed to have been taken by the tiger.
Witness Accounts and Forest Department Confirmation
Twelve-year-old Sumit Mahato, who was herding cattle, claimed to have seen the tiger attacking the bull. He recounted, “I was atop a tree gathering leaves when I saw the tiger.”
Forest Department officer Sanatan Ravani verified the tiger’s presence, stating, “This isn’t a rumor. Recent attacks on livestock confirm predator activity in the area.”
