JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) celebrated the arrival of 2025 with the Mankadia community in Sukinda, a PVTG group, through engaging cultural activities.

The New Year celebration unfolded at Kalarangiata village, home to the Mankadia PVTGs. The festivities included a cake-cutting ceremony and cultural programs, welcoming 200 participants, half of whom were children. Executives from Tata Steel’s Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division (FAMD) also joined, strengthening bonds with the community.

Strengthening Community Ties

Pankaj Satija, Executive-In-charge of FAMD, along with other senior officials like Shambhunath Jha and Pramod Kumar, participated in the celebrations. Addressing the gathering, Satija highlighted the importance of cultural preservation, stating, “Cultural traditions are vital assets, and embracing them ensures a sustainable future.”

Children engaged in fun activities while adults reflected on the blessings of the past year.

This event is part of Tata Steel’s ongoing initiatives to promote inclusivity and development. The foundation regularly engages with tribal groups, reinforcing its commitment to fostering social equity.
