Finance Minister Directs Overhaul of Medini Rai Medical College Hospital Operations

MEDININAGAR – Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore emphasized healthcare reform during a review meeting on Medini Rai Medical College Hospital’s administration.

The meeting gathered officials like Civil Surgeon Dr. Anil Kumar and Municipal Commissioner Mohammad Javed Hussain. Minister Kishore highlighted inefficiencies in the hospital setup and mandated systemic improvements.

Administrative Overhaul Ordered

Radhakrishna Kishore pointed out lapses in the hospital’s performance, noting prior inspections revealed serious irregularities. He instructed immediate staffing of CHCs and PHCs, with a week’s deadline for visible improvements. “Our inspection aims at real progress, not mere formality,” the minister asserted.

Contractual Mismanagement Investigated

Review findings highlighted exploitation of contract health workers, prompting the minister to seize attendance registers for scrutiny. The hospital’s cleaning contract with Balaji Company also came under fire, revealing only 51 workers employed against the agreed 135.

Enhancing Public Healthcare Access

The minister reiterated Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s focus on education and healthcare. Measures were announced to ensure treatment under Ayushman Bharat at the hospital. Uniforms for staff and biometric attendance were mandated to curb malpractice.
