SERAIKELA – A 24-year-old Jamshedpur resident lost his life in a hit-and-run accident near Hansaudi Turn in Seraikela early Friday morning.

The tragic incident occurred around 4:45 AM when Himanshu Sharma, a resident of Karandih, Jamshedpur, was traveling from Chaibasa. His KTM motorcycle collided with an unidentified truck at Hansaudi Turn near Pati Chowk.

Moreover, Sharma had visited his friends Sandeep Soy from Kudarsai and Pradeep Kerai from Dolandih on Wednesday. The trio had spent time together in Chaibasa’s Dungri area.

Previous Incidents at Hansaudi Turn

In recent months, Hansaudi Turn has witnessed several accidents. Furthermore, local authorities have identified it as an accident-prone zone.

Meanwhile, the police have installed warning signs and speed breakers in the area. However, accidents continue to occur, especially during early morning hours.

Safety Measures and Investigation

On the other hand, the local administration has launched a manhunt for the truck driver. “We are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas,” a police official stated.

Additionally, the victim’s body was taken to Seraikela Sadar Hospital. Meanwhile, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
