MEDININAGAR – Jharkhand Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore inspected Medinirai Medical College Hospital on Saturday and highlighted critical issues.
The Finance Minister, during his visit to the hospital, reviewed the state of health services, medicine availability, cleanliness, and treatment conditions. He expressed severe dissatisfaction upon observing poor sanitation standards, describing the hospital as being in a deplorable state.
Irregularities Prompt Minister’s Action
Minister Kishore convened a meeting with hospital officials immediately after the inspection. He directed the staff to ensure noticeable improvements within seven days, warning of strict measures against non-compliance. “We will not tolerate negligence in patient care and hospital maintenance,” said the Minister.
Cleanliness and Uniform Guidelines
The Finance Minister instructed doctors and staff to wear uniforms with name plates during duty hours. He further criticized the widespread unhygienic conditions, urging officials to prioritize patient well-being.
Ayushman Bharat Implementation and Construction Goals
It was noted that the hospital was not providing treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Minister Kishore insisted on immediate implementation of this scheme. Additionally, he reviewed the ongoing construction of a new hospital building, urging its completion by December 31, 2025.
Focus on Accountability
The Minister emphasized the importance of accountability within the health department. Actions against the nodal agency were also discussed to address systemic inefficiencies.
