JAMSHEDPUR – A shocking theft in Bistupur, one of Jamshedpur’s most secure and upscale areas, has left residents alarmed. Within three hours, thieves made away with jewelry worth ₹20 lakh and ₹1 lakh in cash, raising serious concerns about security in the city.
Theft in the Heart of a Secure Zone
The incident occurred in a house adjacent to MP Vidyut Varan Mahato’s residence while the family was attending a program. Exploiting the empty home, thieves broke in through the back, forced open locks, and looted valuables. Later, they discarded empty jewelry boxes a kilometer away but kept the cash and expensive items.
Swift Police Response
Following the theft, police acted promptly, deploying a dog squad and launching an extensive investigation. Authorities, including the DSP and CCR unit, have assured the public of swift arrests, stating, “The culprits will be brought to justice soon.”
