JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration has intensified its anti-encroachment drive to make the city traffic jam-free.
Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal ordered the extensive checking campaign. The operation focused on clearing illegal parking zones.
“We expect citizens to fulfill their moral responsibilities,” said SDO Dhalbhum Satabdi Majumdar. Moreover, she warned of penalties for violations.
The inspection team seized eight vehicles in two days. Meanwhile, officials collected fines through online payments.
Enforcement Measures
The campaign targeted no-parking violations in Sakchi area. Furthermore, the team removed encroachments from Ambagan region.
Executive Magistrate Sudipta Raj joined the inspection drive. In addition, Traffic Inspector and Motor Vehicle Inspector participated.
Previous Actions
The administration had earlier identified major traffic bottlenecks. On the other hand, regular monitoring helped reduce congestion.
The officials conducted similar drives in other areas. Meanwhile, they plan to extend inspections to more locations.
