JAMSHEDPUR – The recent murder of Alok Munna in Kadma’s Shastrinagar area has triggered a fresh political feud between Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy and former minister Banna Gupta. Both leaders have leveled accusations against each other, intensifying the political tension in the city.

Saryu Roy Targets Banna Gupta

Saryu Roy alleged that criminal gangs operating under Banna Gupta’s protection are now turning against each other. “Alok Munna’s murder is the result of rivalries among gangs supported by Banna Gupta,” Roy stated. He further accused Banna of establishing a reign of fear and terror in Jamshedpur over the past five years.

Roy urged the police to investigate the incident thoroughly and expose the criminal activities nurtured under Banna’s leadership. He called for intelligence agencies to collect necessary documents to prevent similar incidents in the future. “Now, Banna Gupta supported groups themselves are scared, and their fear stems from one another,” Roy added.

Banna Gupta Hits Back

In response, Banna Gupta visited Alok Munna’s residence in Kadma to console the grieving family. Speaking to the media, Banna directly blamed Saryu Roy for the murder. “Congress worker Alok Munna has been murdered in broad daylight by criminals supported by Saryu Roy,” he alleged.

Banna further threatened to escalate the matter to Jharkhand’s DGP and Chief Minister if immediate action is not taken to arrest the culprits. Calling it a political killing, Banna said, “Several Congress members are receiving threats. If the police act under pressure, we will launch a movement.”

Political Fallout

The tragic murder has fueled a war of words between the two leaders, exposing deep-rooted political rivalries. Both sides have urged the police for swift action, while the city watches closely as the investigation unfolds.
