JAMSHEDPUR – A grand felicitation ceremony was organized on Sunday at Aashirwad Mandap in Bagunnagar to honor Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Sahu after her recent oath-taking. The event, led by the Jamshedpur East Mahila Morcha, was attended by prominent women leaders and party workers.
MLA Purnima Sahu was welcomed by several key dignitaries, including former state minister and Kolhan organizational coordinator Rita Mishra, district Mahila Morcha president Neelu Machhua, and state committee member Prabha Devi. Their presence marked the significance of the ceremony.
On the occasion, prominent women leaders like former divisional committee member Pramila Sahu, former Mahila Morcha general secretary Mamta Kapoor, and OBC Morcha committee member Rita Sharma were also honored. Senior party workers, including Krishna Devi from Birsanagar and Sita Devi and Shanti Devi from Burma Mines Mandal, were recognized with shawls and flower bouquets.
District Mahila Morcha vice president Lakshmi Mirdha conducted the program, while Bharti Kumari, the district office in-charge, introduced the session. IT Cell head Meera Singh delivered the welcome speech, and Dr. Rani Thakur concluded with a vote of thanks.
MLA Purnima Sahu expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all women workers for their support and recognition. “This honor encourages me to work harder for the development of Jamshedpur East and for women’s empowerment,” she added.
The event also witnessed the participation of district treasurer Seema Jaiswal, IT Cell member Mamta Singh, and other Mandal presidents along with their teams, who warmly greeted the MLA with floral tributes and shawls.
