RANCHI – Jharkhand experiences intense cold wave conditions with temperatures plummeting below 10°C in nineteen districts across the state.

Western disturbance intensifies the winter chill. Sunny days offer little relief from the cold conditions.

The state capital records 9.2°C minimum temperature. Local authorities urge residents to take necessary precautions.

District-wise Temperature Analysis

Jamshedpur records 10.2°C, marking 2 degrees below normal. The city sees a slight 0.6°C rise over 24 hours.

Chaibasa experiences 7.8°C, showing significant deviation. The reading stands 4.7°C below normal temperatures.

Severe Cold Wave Alert

Seven districts receive yellow alert warnings. These include Garhwa, Palamu, and Chatra.

“Extreme caution is advised during early mornings,” a weather official stated. Evening hours also require special attention.

Temperature Forecast

East Singhbhum expects gradual warming to 12°C. Similar trends predict for neighboring districts.

West Singhbhum anticipates 11°C by December 18. Saraikela shows matching temperature progression patterns.
