JAMSHEDPUR – Sona Devi University successfully concluded its three-day sports festival, which began on December 10, 2024.

Students enthusiastically participated in various events, including yoga, races, shot put, javelin throw, badminton, carrom, chess, and volleyball. The competitions were held on the university playground, where students demonstrated their athletic skills and leadership qualities.

The university has announced that winners will be honored during the annual function on December 20, 2024. Encouraging the participants, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Gulab Singh ‘Azad’ emphasized the importance of sports in personal development. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) J.P. Mishra highlighted that experiencing defeat is essential for achieving success.

Chancellor Mr. Prabhakar Singh affirmed the university’s commitment to organizing such events in the future. The sports committee, led by Ms. Komal Kumari, along with Dr. Nit Naina, Dr. Neelmani Kumar, Dr. Kanchan Sinha, Dr. Dola Roy, Mrs. Archana Singh, Mr. Dheeraj Kumar Sharma, Mr. Rahul Kumar Shaw, Mr. Kishore Mahakur, Mr. Krishnendu Dutta, Ms. Madhavi Behera, Ms. Shraddha Suman Panda, Mrs. Anusua Roy, Mr. Singrai Samad, Mr. Kishan Sah, Mr. Parijat Manjhi, Ms. Saraswati Bhowmik, Ms. Sonal Kumari, and Mrs. Soma Patra, played a pivotal role in the event’s success.

Additionally, the student committee, including Kaushalendra Yadav, Rakhi Mahato, Manav Bera, and Shreshth Srivastava, contributed significantly to the festival’s success.
