DBMS College Wins Award for E-Waste Management

"Women In Power" Award goes to DBMS College, Jamshedpur for outstanding E-Waste initiative

DBMS College of Education, Jamshedpur, recognized for its pioneering E-Waste Management efforts, wins prestigious award.

JAMSHEDPUR – DBMS College of Education has set a new benchmark in environmental stewardship by winning the “Women In Power” Award for its E-Waste Management initiative.

The college has been in partnership with Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd for four years, serving as a key collection point for e-waste and promoting awareness.

This initiative has not only established DBMS College as a leader in sustainable practices but also highlighted the importance of community engagement in environmental conservation.

The award was presented during the “Hulladek Honors 2024” event in Kolkata, with DBMS College being the only institution from Jamshedpur to be recognized in this category.

College Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan and Registrar Anjali Ganesan received the award, expressing gratitude towards the college’s Chairpersons for their visionary leadership.

Principal Dr. Juhi Samarpita articulated the college’s role in not just educating but also in instigating a broader societal commitment to eco-friendliness.

Assistant Professor Moushumi Dutta’s leadership of the Eco Club at DBMS College underscores the institution’s dedicated approach to embedding sustainable practices into its culture.

The recognition of DBMS College of Education’s efforts in e-waste management marks a significant accomplishment in its mission to promote environmental awareness and action.
