JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum Ex-Servicemen Council celebrated Navy Day with grandeur at the Bhuiyandih Community Hall, bringing together retired personnel and their families to honor their naval service and unity.
The event was attended by notable guests, including Lt. Aditi Yadav, representing the Sonari Army Unit’s Commanding Officer. Other dignitaries included Brigadier Ranvijay Singh, Colonel (Retd.) Rajan Iyer, and Himanshu Seth. During the celebration, naval veterans and their spouses were felicitated for their contributions.
A cake-cutting ceremony marked the event, led by Secretary Brijkishore Singh and members like Dinesh Singh, Sushil Kumar Singh, and Ranjit Dilip Singh. Children from veteran families performed cultural dances and songs, adding vibrancy to the celebration.
In her address, Lt. Aditi Yadav praised the active participation of retired servicemen, remarking, “It is inspiring to see veterans remain so engaged even after retirement. Such unity strengthens respect for the armed forces in society.” Veterans highlighted their efforts to contribute to various community sectors, enhancing their societal standing.
Program organizers Manoj Thakur and Anuj Singh received commendations for their meticulous arrangements. Even those veterans who could not attend contributed significantly to the event’s success. Officers and personnel from the Army praised the spirit of camaraderie and organization displayed.
Senior veterans, including Ramesh Singh and Baljeet Singh, joined hundreds of others with their families, exchanging good wishes for the continued strength of the Indian Armed Forces.
