DEOGHAR – In a heartwarming ceremony, an Indian groom and a Russian bride celebrated their union at the famous Baba Temple in Deoghar, blending Indian traditions with a global perspective.
Rahul Rakesh, a native of Singhjori village in Deoghar, met Senia while working in Russia. Their bond blossomed into love, leading to a court marriage in Russia. However, the couple decided to honor Indian traditions by hosting a traditional wedding at the Baba Temple upon their arrival in Deoghar.
A Family Affair
Rahul’s brother-in-law, Akhil Anand, shared that the families initially hesitated about the cultural differences. However, seeing the couple’s understanding and commitment, both families gave their blessings.
The bride, Senia, expressed joy in embracing Indian traditions. “I had read about Indian culture in books, but experiencing it firsthand during the wedding was incredible,” she said. Senia’s friend, Danny, who also attended the wedding from Russia, admired the vibrant rituals and expressed excitement about learning more about Indian culture and language.
