Dalma ESZ: 906 Entities Get Final Notice for Illegal Construction

Forest Department Sets 15-Day Deadline for Document Submission

Key Points:

• Forest officials issue final notices to 906 violators in Dalma ESZ
• Government buildings among structures facing potential demolition
• Hearings scheduled for December 2024 before legal action

JAMSHEDPUR – Forest authorities have issued final notices to 906 entities for illegal constructions in Dalma Eco-Sensitive Zone, setting a 15-day deadline for document submission.

The Forest Department has intensified its enforcement drive.

Moreover, prominent businesses face scrutiny for unauthorized structures.

A government dak bungalow stands on plot 254 in Burudungri.

Meanwhile, an Anganwadi center occupies plot 222 in Ugadih.

The authorities have scheduled hearings for December 17 and 18, 2024.

“We must protect our ecological heritage,” stated a local environmental expert.

Furthermore, commercial establishments dominate the list of violators.

The Dalma ESZ spans approximately 500 square kilometers around the sanctuary.

In addition, the zone was established in 2019 to protect wildlife.

The sanctuary houses over 85 elephants in its protected area.

Besides, illegal construction threatens the elephant corridors in the region.

“Environmental compliance remains our top priority,” remarked a forest official.

Several educational institutions have also received notices.

On the other hand, some residents claim they possess valid permits.

The Forest Department maintains strict monitoring of the zone.

Furthermore, previous notifications had limited impact on violations.

“Documentation must meet all legal requirements,” explained a department insider.
