JAMSHEDPUR – A ten-member team from the State Common Health Mission has been inspecting district health facilities ahead of the Central Common Health Mission team’s visit on November 6. The inspection covered all community, primary, sub-health centers, urban health centers, and Sadar Hospital.

The team examined the facilities provided to patients and found several issues, including the absence of signboards at many Community Health Centers (CHCs) and poor maintenance of registers. During their review of the Sadar Hospital, they identified gaps in departments like the ICU.

On Friday, the team held a meeting with Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal in the Civil Surgeon’s office auditorium. Dr. Pal assured the team that all deficiencies would be addressed within two days. He emphasized that district health services are improving, highlighting upcoming initiatives.

“A PICU for children will be inaugurated soon at Sadar Hospital,” Dr. Pal stated. He also mentioned that a state-of-the-art vaccination center in Sakchi is nearing completion and will be inaugurated on November 25.

The inspection team, led by Health Department Deputy Director Dr. Lal Majhi, included Data Manager Subodh Kumar, Ekai Minz, Kedar Gupta, and others. Their visit aims to enhance the quality of healthcare services in the district.
