Key Observations:

  • Ramdas Soren’s lead underscores JMM’s stronghold in the region, with his extensive grassroots connect and tenure as a minister.

  • BJP’s Babulal Soren, despite being the son of former Chief Minister Champai Soren, is facing a tough battle.

  • Independent candidates and smaller parties, including Bharat Adivasi Party and SUCI (Communist), failed to make an impact, collectively earning less than 5% of the total votes counted so far.

Ghatshila, a tribal-dominated constituency, has been a key battleground for JMM and BJP. Political analysts attribute Ramdas Soren’s lead to his long-standing rapport with voters and JMM’s significant outreach efforts.
