JAMSHEDPUR – The counting centre has been established at Co-operative College in Jamshedpur, and preparations for the November 23 counting of Jharkhand Assembly election votes are currently underway.

The site was inspected and the provisions were reviewed by Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal and District Election Officer Ananya Mittal. The security of the strong room was evaluated by the officials, who also visited constituency-specific tallying centres to guarantee that all necessary preparations were in place.

The instructions encompassed the installation of sufficient illumination, the establishment of barricades, and the provision of essential materials on counting tables. Officials were instructed to adhere rigorously to the Election Commission’s guidelines and ensure security.

Staff, counting agents, candidates, and labourers were to be separated by barricades. ID credentials for personnel, the provision of food packets and water, and the arrangement for the sealing of EVM machines were all required. Vehicle entry credentials, parking facilities, and a media gallery were also debated.

Mittal prioritised the timely completion of all arrangements to guarantee the seamless operation of the counting day.
