JAMSHEDPUR – Protests erupted outside Parsudih police station as Sarjamda residents demanded action in a murder case.
Villagers from Sarjamda gathered at Parsudih police station to protest against the killing of Abhishek Hembram, demanding the arrest of the accused.
Led by the victim’s wife and local residents, demonstrators held banners and raised slogans urging immediate action.
The incident, which took place on November 14, has sparked tension in the area.
Deputy Superintendent of Police M. Touqeer Alam met with the victim’s family and assured them of swift arrests.
Local police confirmed intensified raids targeting suspects Roushan Hembram, Bhola Honhaga, and Rajesh Karmakar.
Police have reportedly detained one associate of the prime accused, Roushan, and several of his relatives for questioning.
Roushan and Abhishek are believed to have had prior disputes over property, which may have escalated to the fatal incident.
Local leader Budhuram Hembram stated that earlier disagreements between the parties had been resolved through a village meeting.
Villagers have expressed concerns over safety, fearing potential unrest if arrests are delayed.
Authorities have received leads on Roushan’s whereabouts and are conducting raids at identified locations.
