Cold Sets in Across Jharkhand, Dense Fog Expected in Northern Areas
Temperature drops after Chhath festival, with fog forecast in many districts

RANCHI – A chill has started to settle in Jharkhand, especially during the mornings and evenings, following the Chhath festival.
On Thursday, Daltonganj recorded the highest temperature at 32.6°C, while Garhwa had the lowest at 14.6°C.
According to Abhishek Anand, a weather expert from the Meteorological Department’s Ranchi center, dense fog is forecasted in the northern districts from November 14 to 17, with a predicted drop of 2-3°C in minimum temperatures over the next couple of days.
The foggy conditions are expected to impact areas like Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Giridih, Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Sahebganj, and Pakur, prompting early-morning walkers to exercise caution.
In Ranchi, Thursday’s maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 27.4°C and 15.5°C, respectively.
Meanwhile, Jamshedpur reported a maximum of 31.4°C and a minimum of 16.8°C.
