JAMSHEDPUR – Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren visited activist Astik Mahato’s residence on Tuesday to pay respects following his mother Mandakini Devi’s recent passing.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren offered condolences at the Kagalnagar residence of Astik Mahato, a prominent Jharkhand activist, following his mother Mandakini Devi’s passing on Monday.

Soren honored Devi’s legacy by placing flowers before her portrait and lauded her support for the Jharkhand movement, which he stated was essential in guiding its direction.

Accompanying the CM were Health Minister Banna Gupta, former MP Dr. Ajay Kumar, and several notable social figures, including Phanindra Mahato and Sukhdev Mahato, Chancellor of Srinath University.

Soren expressed regret for his brief visit due to ongoing election duties, promising to attend the upcoming ritual on November 22. He assured the family of his support and encouraged them to reach out for any assistance.

The Chief Minister’s compassionate gestures included taking time to meet family members, warmly interacting with the children, and conveying his commitment to standing by the family in their time of loss.
