RANCHI – Congress has announced its candidates for 21 out of 29 assembly seats in Jharkhand for the upcoming elections, with the announcement made late at night.
Among the key candidates are Dr. Irfan Ansari for Jamtara, Badal Patralekh for Jarmundi, Deepika Pandey Singh for Mahagama, and Amba Prasad Sahu for Barkagaon.
Dr. Ajay Kumar will contest from Jamshedpur East, while Banna Gupta has been fielded from Jamshedpur West.
The party also confirmed Mamta Devi for Ramgarh, Munna Singh for Hazaribagh, and Jaleshwar Mahto for Baghmara.
Senior leaders like Rajesh Kacchap (Hizri), Shilpi Neha Tirkey (Mandar), and Rameshwar Oraon (Lohardaga) have also been named as candidates.
The Congress, which secured 29 seats in the alliance, is yet to announce candidates for 8 remaining constituencies.
