JAMSHEDPUR – A burglary occurred at the home of Ramesh Chandra Yadav in Adityapur’s Kalpnapuri area late last night.
The incident took place between 1 and 3 a.m., with burglars breaking into the house and also targeting the home of Yadav’s tenant.
Ramesh’s son, Rahul Kumar, said the thieves entered through the back of the house after breaking the lock on the rear gate.
They then broke into a locked almirah in one of the rooms and stole cash ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹20,000, along with jewelry and two Android mobile phones.
The thieves also broke into the tenant’s locked house, and the tenant has been informed.
Rahul, who was alone at home as his parents were out of town, reported the incident to the police via the Dial 100 emergency line.
Police have since visited the scene and started investigating the case.
