JAMSHEDPUR – BJP leader Vikas Singh has been released from Kadma police station following a day-long detention sparked by his suicide threat.

Singh had announced plans to self-immolate on Tuesday.

Police preemptively detained him from his Mango Ashiana Anantara flat.

At Kadma station, officers questioned Singh about past cases.

They also inquired about his reasons for the self-immolation threat.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders frequently visited the station throughout the day.

They persistently demanded Singh’s immediate release.

Moreover, Singh remained in custody from morning until around 9 PM.

He was eventually released after signing a bond.

"My protest will continue," Singh stated after his release.

The incident has heightened tensions between local BJP members and law enforcement.
