JAMSHEDPUR – Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda inaugurated the Shri Shri Sarvajanik Durga Puja Committee’s pandal in Jugsalai, marking the beginning of Navratri celebrations in the city.
He worshiped Goddess Durga and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of Jharkhand’s residents.
Munda addressed the gathering, noting that the committee has been organizing the Durga Puja for the last 54 years.
He highlighted the importance of Navratri, stating that it symbolizes the triumph of truth over falsehood and the worship of Goddess Durga’s nine forms.
He also described the Goddess as a symbol of courage, wisdom, and prosperity, urging devotees to offer sincere prayers during Navratri.
Local BJP leaders, including district general secretary Anil Modi and Mandal president Hemendra Jain, also spoke at the event, echoing Munda’s sentiments.
Several prominent figures, including former Mandal president Nagendra Pandey and district treasurer Kali Sharma, were honored during the ceremony.
Key committee members such as Anmol Sharma, Shekhar Sharma, and Vijay Jaiswal were also present, alongside many others, to support the celebrations.
