Registration camp sees high turnout as parties spar over women’s schemes
Key Points:
• 200 women register for ‘Gogo Didi Yojna’ at BJP camp in Kharangajhar
• BJP promises Rs 2,100 monthly aid if elected to power in Jharkhand
• Political tensions rise as parties debate effectiveness of welfare schemes
JAMSHEDPUR – The BJP’s ‘Gogo Didi Yojna’ has sparked enthusiasm and controversy in the city’s political landscape.
A registration camp for the scheme saw 200 women sign up within two hours on Sunday.
Moreover, BJP leader Ankit Anand assured Rs 2,100 monthly aid if the party wins the election.
Meanwhile, former BJP district president Dinesh Kumar defended the scheme against Congress criticism.
Furthermore, Kumar accused the JMM-Congress coalition of failing to fulfill job promises.
On the other hand, Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar had dismissed BJP’s ‘Panch-Pran’ as mere rhetoric.
In addition, the BJP claims the coalition government fears the scheme’s popularity among women.
"The ‘Gogo Didi Yojna’ reflects our commitment to women’s welfare," stated Ankit Anand.
Besides the new scheme, many registrants were beneficiaries of the existing ‘Maiyan Samman Yojna’.
The BJP alleges that the coalition’s recent ‘Maiyan Yojna’ is an attempt to mislead voters.
"People won’t fall for misleading propaganda," Dinesh Kumar asserted, referencing past elections.
Kumar expressed confidence in BJP’s return to power with a full majority in Jharkhand.
"Our government will fulfill all resolutions, including the Panch Pran," he added.
In conclusion, the ‘Gogo Didi Yojna’ has intensified political debates as elections approach in Jharkhand.
