The newly inaugurated OPD building at MGM Medical College Hospital stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to improving healthcare access in the Kolhan region.
Built on Mango-Dimna Road, this modern facility aims to serve Jamshedpur and its surrounding areas with advanced medical services.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren emphasized the hospital’s importance during the inauguration ceremony.
"This hospital will serve as a milestone for the people of Kolhan," Soren stated, highlighting the government’s dedication to enhancing public healthcare.
The event saw attendance from various dignitaries, including Health Minister Banna Gupta and other local officials.
Expanding Healthcare Infrastructure
The new hospital wing is part of a broader initiative to strengthen healthcare in rural and semi-urban areas of Jharkhand.
Constructed at a cost of ₹376 crores, the facility boasts impressive features and modern amenities.
The seven-storey building houses 751 beds, including specialized wards for intensive care and cardiac treatment.
"We expect this facility to significantly reduce the need for patients to travel long distances for specialized care," remarked a local health official.
