Police Arrest 10 in Double Murder Case in Kuchai
Suspects accused couple of witchcraft, seized weapons and vehicles

SERAIKELA – Local police have apprehended ten individuals in connection with the murder of a married couple in the Kuchai area.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Mohar Singh Munda, Vetan Munda, Durga Munda, Budhram Munda alias Mukhiya, Kinu Ram Munda, Chambu Ram Munda, Amit Mundu, Ram Mundu, Birsa Munda, and Sonika Mundu.
Moreover, the police have recovered several items from the accused. These include a 7.65 mm pistol, two country-made firearms, three bullets, a scooter, and three mobile phones.
Furthermore, the investigation reveals a sinister motive behind the murders. The victims, Soma Singh Munda and his wife Sijari Devi, were allegedly accused of practicing witchcraft before being killed.
Meanwhile, the police acted swiftly on receiving confidential information about the suspects. They conducted raids to apprehend the fugitives involved in the crime.
In addition, the raid team comprised several high-ranking police officials. These included Kuchai Station in-charge Nursing Munda and Kharsawan Station in-charge Gaurav Kumar.
On the other hand, Dalbhanga OP in-charge Ravindra Munda and Amda OP in-charge Avinash Shahi also participated in the operation. Vinod Majhi and Rasbihari Yadav were part of the team as well.
The operation also saw the involvement of SET armed forces and JAP armed forces. Their presence ensured the smooth execution of the arrests.
