Jharkhand Cabinet Approves 49 Proposals in Meeting

RANCHI – The Jharkhand cabinet, led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, convened on September 27, 2024, giving the nod to 49 significant proposals aimed at bolstering the state’s development and welfare initiatives.

In a landmark decision, the cabinet approved the modification of the Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme to provide food security to eligible beneficiaries not covered under the National Food Security Act, 2013.

The meeting saw the approval of several infrastructure projects, including the establishment of a new medical college and hospital in Ranchi. The project, with an estimated cost of 10,746,800,700 rupees, aims to enhance healthcare facilities in the state capital.

Education received a significant boost with the cabinet giving the green light to multiple initiatives:

1. Establishment of new degree colleges

2. Infrastructure development for existing institutions

3. Creation of nursing colleges

List of key educational approvals:

– New women’s college in Bengabad, Giridih

– Degree college in Silli constituency, Ranchi district

– Infrastructure development for Jamshedpur Co-operative Law College

The cabinet also focused on improving transportation infrastructure:

The cabinet meeting demonstrated the government’s commitment to comprehensive development across various sectors, focusing on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social welfare.
