DC Ananya Mittal Oversees Polling Personnel Training at Jamshedpur Cooperative College

Comprehensive Training Includes Projector Presentations, Booklets, and Postal Ballot Facilitation

Jamshedpur Cooperative College located in Bistupur has commenced the training of polling personnel in preparation for the upcoming elections. On Tuesday, District Collector (DC) Ananya Mittal personally visited the college to assess the progress of the training program and ensure its effectiveness.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Cooperative College in Bistupur has become the hub of activity as the training of polling personnel kicks off in earnest.

DC Ananya Mittal made a personal visit to the college on Tuesday to take stock of the ongoing training and interact with the personnel undergoing the program.

During his interaction, DC Mittal engaged with the polling personnel, inquiring about their understanding of the training material and ensuring that there were no gaps or issues in the process.

He emphasized the importance of comprehensive training to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the elections.

In a notable enhancement to the training methodology, polling personnel are being provided with information about the voting process through projector presentations this time around.

This visual aid is expected to facilitate better understanding and retention of the crucial procedures involved in conducting the polls.

Additionally, the personnel are being provided with training booklets, which serve as a handy reference guide for familiarizing themselves with the intricacies of the voting process.

By studying these booklets, the polling staff can deepen their knowledge and be well-prepared for their responsibilities on election day.

Another important aspect of the training program is the distribution of Form 12 to the polling personnel.

This form, when filled by the polling workers, enables them to cast their votes through postal ballot.

DC Mittal highlighted the significance of this provision, as it ensures that polling workers, who are often unable to vote on the day of the election due to their duties, can still exercise their democratic right.

Furthermore, DC Mittal revealed that a strong room is being constructed within the premises of the Cooperative College.

This secure facility will serve as a repository for the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) after the conclusion of the voting process.

The strong room is being designed to accommodate EVMs in an assembly-wise manner, ensuring proper segregation and organization of the voting machines.

DC Mittal also confirmed that the counting of votes will take place within the Cooperative College itself, emphasizing the centralized nature of the election process.
