Digital transformation takes center stage at 5th annual industry event

JAMSHEDPUR – The Confederation of Indian Industry’s Jharkhand chapter convened its annual ICT Conclave, spotlighting the transformative potential of AI and data strategies in driving future growth.

The event, held at a city hotel, brought together industry leaders to explore the synergy between AI and data in fostering innovation.

Ranjot Singh, CII Jharkhand State Council Chairman, set the tone for the conclave. He highlighted India’s digital transformation journey.

"Being digital is what we do more than anything else," Singh remarked. He projected significant growth in India’s digital economy by 2032.

Sarajit Jha, Convenor of ICTE, Startup & Innovation Panel, emphasized the importance of data centers. He dubbed them "temples" in the era of data-driven decision-making.

"India leads in per capita data consumption and digital transactions," Jha noted. He urged SMEs to leverage this digital infrastructure for growth.

Tapas Sahu, Past Chairman of CII Jharkhand, stressed the need to embrace digitization as a culture. He shared an anecdote comparing AI efficiency to human lawyers.

"AI completed a legal decision in four hours, while lawyers took six days," Sahu illustrated. This example underscored AI’s potential to enhance efficiency.

Ujjal Chakraborti, Immediate Past Chairman, CII Jharkhand, encouraged industries to navigate digital transformation. He emphasized technology’s role in improving operational efficiencies.

"Data is the new oil, and AI is the engine that refines it," Chakraborti metaphorically explained.

Shivam Kamani, Co-Convenor of CII ICTE, lauded CII’s efforts in promoting technology growth. He encouraged Jharkhand’s MSMEs to adopt new technologies for accelerated growth.

The conclave featured presentations from various tech industry leaders. Speakers represented companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, and AWS.

Discussions centered on AI’s potential to reshape industries and foster innovation. Speakers highlighted the need for accurate data to support India’s growing digital economy.

The event drew 204 participants from over 102 companies. It underscored the importance of collaboration in creating a digitally empowered economy.

Industry experts agreed that the fusion of AI and data strategies would be crucial for businesses to thrive in the coming era.
