Kadma Ganeshotsav Kicks Off with Grand Inauguration
106th Edition of Festival Promises 16 Days of Vibrant Celebrations
Jamshedpur’s iconic Kadma Ganeshotsav begins its 106th year with a spectacular inauguration, featuring dignitaries and traditional rituals.
JAMSHEDPUR – The 106th Kadma Ganeshotsav commenced with the inauguration of the pandal by Odisha Governor Raghubar Das, which marked the beginning of a 16-day celebration.
The festival is a cherished South Indian tradition, and it is organized by Bal Ganpati Vilas.
On September 7, the primary Ganesh Puja commences with Kalash Sthapana.
Daily rituals will be performed by priests from Parvatipuram, Andhra Pradesh.
The Kalash Sthapana ceremony will be attended by former Chief Minister Arjun Munda.
MLA Saryu Roy and former DIG Rajiv Ranjan Singh are among the other notable visitors.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by MP Bidyut Baran Mahto on September 7.
It is anticipated that former MP Suman Mahto and Health Minister Banna Gupta will be in attendance.
On September 14, the Bistupur Antyodaya Ashram will offer a unique culinary service as part of the festival.
A Mahabhog is scheduled to take place on September 21 at the fairgrounds.
The formal immersion procession is scheduled for September 22.
Kadma Rankini Temple and the Kharkhai River comprise the procession route.
An impressive selection of attractions is featured at this year’s fair.
Electric swings, break dance swings, and Tora Tora attractions are available for visitors to enjoy.
Younger festival attendees are accommodated by a Mickey Mouse attraction and a play train.
The fair features utensils from Kanpur and fine arts from Bengal.
The razor swing and tsunami swing are available to thrill-seekers.
The festive spirit persists at numerous Durga Puja committees following the immersion.
The celebration is distinguished by its protracted duration, Kadma Ganeshotsav.
The event underscores the community spirit and cultural diversity of Jamshedpur.
