Local institution outshines competitors from 8 countries in prestigious event
Hill Top School’s victory at COFAS 2024 showcases Jamshedpur’s excellence in cognitive computing education.
JAMSHEDPUR – Hill Top School clinched the Overall Championship at the COFAS 2024 International Computer Olympiad in Lucknow.
The event, held from August 24th to 26th, brought together top schools from eight countries to compete in various computer science categories.
Hill Top School’s team demonstrated exceptional skills, securing the overall championship title against strong international competition.
JB Academy from Ayodhya claimed the runner-up position in the event.
The four-day olympiad, organized by City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar (First Campus) Lucknow, concluded with a grand ceremony at the CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium.
This year’s theme, "Cognitive Computing – Minds and Machines," highlighted the growing importance of advanced technologies in education.
Mrs. Uma Tiwary, Principal of Hill Top School, expressed her elation, stating, "This victory is a testament to our students’ dedication and our faculty’s commitment to excellence in technology education."
The event featured a vibrant prize distribution ceremony, where winning students from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and various Indian states received awards for their achievements.
CMS Rajendra Nagar Principal Jayashree Krishnan praised the participants’ enthusiasm and invited them to future competitions.
