Missing Plane Recovered from Chandil Dam After Six Days
Navy retrieves aircraft after 12-hour operation; DGCA to inspect the plane at Sonari Airport.
A missing plane from Jamshedpur’s Sonari Airport was finally recovered from Chandil Dam after an extensive six-day search operation by the Navy.
JAMSHEDPUR – A missing plane from Sonari Airport has been retrieved from Chandil Dam after six days of intense search.
The Navy team succeeded in pulling out the aircraft after a grueling 12-hour operation.
The recovery operation began at 10 AM, utilizing over a dozen boats and motorboats.
Local villagers and NDRF teams also assisted in the operation, which saw around 16 Navy personnel actively participating.
The plane was extracted around 11 PM and is now being transported by road on a trailer to Sonari Airport.
At the airport, it will be secured for inspection by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration also provided substantial support during the operation.
This marks the successful conclusion of a six-day effort to locate and recover the missing plane.
